Summary To distil data and knowledge to a core proposition that provides a springboard for the creative team to produce advertising ideas that solve business problems. You’ll be essential in supporting the Planning Director (PD) by taking responsibility of campaign plans, results, analysis and presentation of findings, writing creative briefs as well as desk research, brand tracking and Customer understanding. Responsibilities Main Duties · Responsible for the business of a number of clients and appointed new business projects · Assists the PD/ gets the client briefs · Conducts category/brand reviews · Develops the marketing/ communication strategies under PD supervision · Briefs the different departments on the marketing/ communication strategy · Participates in creative, digital, media, DM, etc. reviews to ensure adherence to strategy · Responsible for strategy presentations to existing/ potential clients · Manages the research projects of existing clients (quotations, evaluation of best offer, takes part in the research, evaluation of findings and reports and use of the information in the marketing/ communication strategies) · Manages snapshot research projects (manages all logistics, moderates groups and writes the reports) · Moderates groups and writes reports · Goes periodically in market tours (based on a schedule or on need basis) and writes market reports · Identifies the market data sources available in the market and checks for new sources of information on a permanent basis · Lives and breathes in the digital world. Is a constant browser and researcher into consumer’s lives highlighting relevant findings to PD and adding value to creative briefs. Other · Forward thinking strategically and across multi disciplines · Digitally aware and experienced across all channels of communication · Comfortable with data and its presentation but not overly analytical · An extensive browser in all fields with an ability to draw on diverse experiences and sources of knowledge in providing insights · Passion for communications and ideas and the ability to inspire the same within the department, the agency and with clients Qualifications · A Degree in quantitative, marketing, economics, finance or business or related discipline along with experience of working with quantitative data analysis is desirable · Minimum 5 years experience in a strategic planning role – within an agency or elsewhere · Strong team player · Proven track record of creative solutions to big and small problems · A sound understanding of qualitative and quantitative research · A profound curiosity about the creative process and an ability to communicate those learning’s · Excellent Presentation skills, preparation and persuasion. |
