| A radiographer uses X-ray, mammogram (female radiographers only), ultrasound, BMD, and to produce images of organs and body parts. Diagnostic radiographers assist in the diagnosis of injuries and diseases and contribute towards establishing treatment plans. They are also involved in intervention procedures, e.g. the removal of kidney stones, orthopaedic procedures, neurosurgery, etc. QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS Bachelor Degree in Radiology from an accredited institute. Requires minimum of three years of experience following completion of training. Through knowledge of radiology department policies and procedures and of medical ethics. Must be able to work with a positive attitude with colleagues varying training background. Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential. Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients. Current licensure in country of origin and with DHA license to practice as a diagnostic radiographer in Dubai, UAE.
