We manufacture and market a broad range of branded and generic pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter (OTC) products and medical devices (contact lenses, intraocular lenses, ophthalmic surgical equipment and aesthetic devices) directly or indirectly in more than 90 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Each day, our products are used by up to 150 million people around the world.
Conduct routine laboratory analysis of raw materials, bulk formulated product, finished goods and stability samples.
Interpret and document test results, calculations, observations and complete report summaries and logbooks.
Initiate OOS investigation when required and notify Quality Control Management with the non-conforming results
Support the Quality Control Management in the laboratory OOS investigation process.
Promote and maintain a safe, healthy working environment and work area by instructing and enforcing GLP compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.
Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
Perform general maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment as required daily or at specified intervals in accordance to established procedures.
Conduct sampling and performing the physical and chemical analysis of purified water system and asses in the trend analysis of the results.
As requested, assist in the sampling of raw material for laboratory analysis
As requested, assist in the acceptance/ rejection process of incoming shipments by creating/ applying the required labels, Navision transaction and certification.
Preparation, handling and storage of reagents and solutions.
Manage the chemical inventory by identifying, ordering and receiving the required material while maintaining the appropriate documentation.
Handling of reference and working standards management process.
Participate in the ongoing Quality Control process improvement projects
Engage in other assignments as deemed nescessary by the supervisor.
Bachelor degree in science related field (Chemistry or Biochemistry) or Pharmacy
Master degree in science related field (Chemistry or Biochemistry) or Pharmacy will be added advantage
3 or more years of experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control Laboratory setting
Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
Teamwork oriented, high level attention to details, multitasking along with good communication and written knowledge of English.
Able to use the analytical equipment such as HPLC, AA, GC and has a basic knowledge of analytical equipment operation.
