Job Description
This position will join a highly motivated commercial team who are in charge of identifying, qualifying and closing new business opportunities across the MENA region to achieve ambitious growth and sales goals in fiscal year ’22 and beyond.  Although this role will cover the entire breadth of the MENA business, our focus sectors currently include Media Agencies; Travel & Tourism; Banking, Finance & Insurance; and Retail. This person must be adept at consultative selling, particularly within the research & insights space.
Experience with selling data- and insight-based products, annual subscriptions to syndicated analytics tools and the capability to align these products to meet the marketing objectives of B2B/B2C organizations of all shapes and sizes will be . The ideal type of person will be self-motivated and willing to work in a sales organization that values teamwork and prioritizes putting together solutions that most efficiently meet the needs of our clients.
Key skills that will be essential to the success of this role include (but are not limited to):
A successful history of exceeding large sales targets
A history of and ability to lead, manage, and grow a sales team
An established history and understanding of using CRM to organize daily sales activity, sales pipeline projections and analyse personal sales performance
The ability to hold in-depth discovery calls and accurately qualify potential prospects
The ability to create strategic outreach plans to connect with and acquire new business partners who are not already working with YouGov
The ability to quickly synthesize data and align a potential client’s needs with YouGov products/services
A thorough understanding of what information is important to marketers and how marketing decisions can be made leveraging data and analytics.
A history of working with, selling or procuring data for use in a marketing setting is of great value to this role
The ability to draw on previous case studies, anecdotes and personal examples where data has been used to drive decision making in marketing
The ability to build “sticky” long-term insight relationships with clients that will provide a platform for continued growth down the line will be critical for the successful candidate
This role will require applicants to have familiarity with complex sales cycles that fuse together first-in-class software solutions, research methodologies and in-depth consumer insights.

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in consultative selling, research & insights or Media Agency business experience strongly preferred
Strong qualities in communications, leadership, and teamwork
Syndicated and custom consumer research knowledge
Willingness to travel (when permissible) 
Successful sales career meeting or exceeding aggressive sales budgets
Strong communicator and rapport builder, well-versed in active listening and a curiosity to find out the root behind consumer behaviours.
