| What will you do? A Data Centre Consultant is an Individual contributor with team responsibilities for technical advocacy. The ideal candidate will perform dual roles and he/she should have in-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, electrical system, critical power, cooling and monitoring systems. In the primary role, the candidate will be working with countries to understand and analyze data center modernization opportunities received from various sources and take ownership in preparing and reaching out to develop the Audit and Modernization offers for customers. This Position is responsible for using his/her Data Center solution knowledge to educate customers on products, technologies, and competitive advantages and how they meet the customer’s needs. Responsible for working closely with sales team in identifying the opportunities, positioning and selling solution-based projects. Also need to support the sales team to achieve their sales & gross margin targets. He/she needs to work closely with Elite Data Center partners in identifying brownfield Data Center projects, define the scope of work, estimate, and sell systems and solutions to meet / exceed the customer needs & expectations. The secondary role is to assist data center modernization projects with project planning, scheduling, measuring, ownership and delivery. The role also includes delivery of data center audit reports. Understanding on data center KPIs and various DC related metrics/calculations are must to have skills. In this role, he/she will work across multiple projects ensuring prompt delivery to various country teams. Candidate should be willing for travel onsite for project related or data collection/measurement/management activities. Key Responsibilities Analyzes historical data from various data aggregation system and prepare assessment reports. Provide recommendation for efficiency and availability improvements and highlight problem areas that require attention Identify all pre-requisite for project execution (site layouts, data, design documents, SLD’s, product specification document etc.…) and flag any constraints that might impact the desired customer expectations. Analyzing data center related information from on-site cooling, power, environmental control infrastructure and physical space to provide assessment report with energy saving retrofits and resilience improvements. Working closely with end users, Elite DC partners on pretender / prescription stage, product positioning, technical sales. Delivering product/technology/technical presentations to customer, consultants & partners community in Gulf using SE internal & external platforms Working closely with internal teas for offer preparation / compliance and material approval & submission Technical Skills Should demonstrate cooling and/or power domain expertise Direct or backend (support) experience in Data Center engineering operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure Power flow analysis in electrical distribution system, understanding electrical demand side management and improve power usage effectiveness for the customer Cooling efficiency evaluation (Chillers and DX based system) and identify energy conservation measures. Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects Demonstrates a broad knowledge of Schneider Electric’s data center technology & solutions, with deep expertise in area of specialization and related technologies Field experience on Installation/Commissioning/Quality control of critical assets (Power, cooling) is a plus Applies broad understanding of technical innovations & trends to solving customer business problems Demonstrated ability to work as the lead for large complex brownfield projects Fundamental understanding of Data Center design & equipment sizing Use of Schneider Electric’s internal solution and offer preparation tools such as ISX Designer, 3Ph UPS Configurators, Unical for Cooling Solutions, LEC Configurator, DCIM configurators etc., is a plus Use of Schneider Electric’s data center assessment analytical tools is a plus Well-versed with MS office packages especially MS word and Excel for report preparation and analysis customers Understanding of ASHRAE principles, Green grid DC standards and awareness of best practices in the data center space is very desirable Desired Candidate Experience profile Data Center Consultant/Auditor or Energy Management Service Professional Certifications (Not mandatory) Data Center Design Consultant Data Center Professional (SE certification) Uptime certification EPI certification (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, CTDC) |
