Our Solutions Delivery Manager, b ased within our IT Performance & Insights team, makes this possible by facilitating the successful project management of the build of new centres or other business transformation projects. The Solutions Delivery Manager will manage the end-to-end delivery of large projects and solutions (or a portfolio or smaller projects) involving business change/transformation, senior level stakeholder management and supplier management. This role ensures the successful delivery of assigned projects by applying best practices in project management, system integration and change management to achieve on time, on budget delivery of the intended business benefits. What You’ll Do Accountable for end-to-end delivery of the assigned project, ensuring effective planning and execution of all project lifecycle activities including (but not limited to) integrate project plan creation and maintenance, requirements gathering, solution definition, systems integration across all internal and external suppliers, risks and issues management, testing, production handover, resource allocation/time management, business change activities, stakeholder management and project communications. Manage the successful (on time, on budget) delivery of assigned projects through coordination with all involved parties including business stakeholders, other IT and Emirates Group departments (Facilities, Procurement, Legal and finance and external suppliers (including off the shelf system suppliers, service providers, offshore providers). Evaluate internal and external solutions and service providers to enable delivery of the most optimal solutions to the relevant Emirates Group business unit(s), ensuring solutions proposed, designed and implemented not only meet the business strategies and requirements but are the right solutions, integrating the relevant external products and services, internal applications, and custom development (internal or external). Perform a continuous assessment of risks and issues on assigned projects and address/mitigate them to minimize impact, ensure solutions are delivered within the agreed parameters and achieve the agreed benefits. Address major showstopper risks and issues through timely and accurate reporting and senior management engagement, instigating re-planning, recovery or termination of projects where necessary. Responsible for financial management of the assigned projects and ensure all costs incurred are effectively tracked and accurately reported to project stakeholders. Ensure all assigned projects are underpinned by tangible business cases and that the value of the solutions delivered is evident Ensure solution testing follows a methodical approach and is coordinated with all relevant parties to ensure it is performed at all appropriate stages of the project and is conducted comprehensively, and that testing results are properly approved Drive business benefits realisation and return on IT investment by ensuring all aspects of business change and transformation relating to assigned projects are effectively identified, planned and managed by or on behalf of the relevant business units throughout the lifecycle of solution delivery Review, negotiate and evaluate contracts terms with external suppliers to ensure supplier deliverables and commitments are comprehensively detailed, the risks inherent with different types of engagement/delivery models are addressed, and proper protection is provided for the Emirates Group Provide regular updates on project performance to respective line management and stakeholders. Manage, coach, and support assigned project resources to deliver to the best of their ability on time, budget and scope Contribute to the improvement of the service line’s solution delivery practices, procedures, methodologies and tools through identification of and participation in improvement initiatives Qualifications & Experience What You Will Bring To The Team Degree or Honours in Information Technology or Project Management 8+Years of experience in Information Technology, Project Management or IT project delivery Experience managing large scale projects (or programs) end-to-end (initiation through business implementation) using industry standard project/program management methodologies. Experience of project management of new data centre build or corporate offices with a sharp focus on end user experience – digital and physical is an advantage. Demonstrated experience with designing, planning and delivering solutions that enable business change/transformation. PMP Certification or other Project or Program Management qualification preferred Project risk and issues identification, mitigation (risks only) and management; and reliable status reporting Demonstrated experience with complex, senior level stakeholder management and management/leadership of large teams Extensive knowledge of project and program management practices, usually holding a project management certification from a recognized professional body (such as Project Management Institute) Project/program management, methods & tools; relationship management; management of large teams; software development; vendor management; business change management and process improvement.
