Your application will be reviewed and considered for one of the two positions available, either Senior Software Engineer or Senior Technical Software Engineer subject to your profile meeting the requirements and technical assessments.
The Senior Software Engineer is a fully participating member of an agile feature team with a minimum of 3 years hands-on Java Development experience. Proven expertise in developing and implementing Java solutions and problem resolution independently. The role involves technical design, software development, implementation and maintenance software solutions/products that support the Emirates Group Business.
While the Senior Technical Software Engineer is a fully participating member of an agile feature team with a minimum of 5 years hands-on Java Development experience who will support in driving and implementing software engineering strategies, standards, and guidelines in the assigned feature team. Collaborate with the team to develop business critical technical solutions through the application of software programming, robust engineering practices and built in quality. Job also includes planning/estimation, application development, deployment, release, hyper-care, and operation of developed solutions. The job holder provides technical leadership to the assigned team in the software development lifecycle.

Your main responsibilities will be to:
-Collaborate with the team to deliver and review technical design, architecture patterns, development, and deployment of complex solutions within relevant product.
-Drive the adoption of engineering practices to implement lean and test-driven software development following Agile methodologies.
-Partner with cross-functional teams to enable high level design, drive proof of-concepts, implement prototypes to validate ideas and determine viability of solutions in medium to large projects.
-Investigate, debug, fix complex issues and support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and presenting new technologies for architectural review.
-Provide subject matter expertise on business domain, actively contribute to sprint/work design and plan technology specific community of practices.
-Manage, mentor and train Software Engineers to ensure their technical deliveries adhere to coding standards and design practices.
-Ensure optimal use of enterprise application platforms, tools, and libraries in line with the approved technology architecture and be responsible for corrective, adaptive and preventative maintenance of products.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent): Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
-Back End Technologies – Java8+, Spring, Spring Boot, Restful API, SOAP, Microservices, Design Patterns.
-Web Technologies – Angular, Angular.JS, React.JS, Node.JS.
-Data Base Technologies – Relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres; NoSQL databases: Couchbase, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Cassandra.
-Cloud Technologies – Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud.
-DevOps: GIT, Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Splunk, JIRA, Confluence.
-Build: Maven, Ant, Gradle.
-Automation Testing: Jasmine, Jest, Karma, Junit, mockito, Jmock, Jmeter.
-Integration: Informatica, Snaplogic, Solace, APIGee; Application Performance Monitoring: AppDynamics.
-Experience of developing advanced/Complex technology Software solutions for large organisations.
-Experience in providing production support for business solutions using ITIL framework.
-Deep experience in Full stack development capabilities, technology technical evaluation, vendor selection and management
-Implementation of contemporary engineering practices like lean software and test-driven development, CI/CD for ensuring robust and reliable code base is always maintained and managing technology platforms for DevOps, Code Management/Testing.
