This position is responsible for sales strategy implementation by means of generating and attracting customers to our portfolio of ports whilst maintaining a professional relationship with key customers both local trade, agents, internal and external stakeholders that touch our
Key responsibility is to attract customers and or volumes across our ports, bulk,
break-bulk, leasing and or Ro-Ro.
Negotiate contracts with local and international customers
Maintain a ratio of 70% client visits per day and 30% administrative duties per day
to promote the services through our ports with the specific aim to increase
throughput and expand – corporate trade clients / lines / agents & forwarders.
Improve customer awareness of port characteristics, and work actively with
customers to select the most suitable port by cargo type.
Objectives and Role Profile
Meet monthly targets as jointly agreed with senior management.
People Management Responsibilities:
Assists with budget preparations / monitoring and in establishing strategic
marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for on-going development
through our portfolio of ports.
Key Tasks and Performance Indicators
Assist in the analysing of port volume performance and provide detailed market
feedback of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, risks.
Assists in the translation of the sales strategy into business targets and tangible
customer level plans.
Adheres to Safe Working Practices and Standard Operatinmg Procedures
Adheres to Near Miss and incident reporting as stipulated.
Requires a college qualification in a business related field
