| Position Description The Proposals Manager ensures preparation of technical and commercial bids for enquires generated by the Sales group. Purpose of Role (Objectives) Convert client enquiries into purchase orders Provide safe and accurate design and pricing to allow profitable sales Promote Suez Oil and Gas as a competent and professional organisation in all interfaces with prospective clients Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Ensure timely submission of bids Ensure company’s products are technically compliant with client requirements Provide technical and commercial guidance to proposals engineers Distribute workload of enquires amongst proposals engineers Manage proposals engineers to ensure timely submission of bids Review to ensure that costing has been done thoroughly Review tender documents prior to submission to client and liaise with other departments as required Represent the company at technical meetings with clients and consultants Work with the Sales team in preparing winning bid strategies Liaise with key equipment vendors and develop strategic partnerships Function as the main link between Proposals and Execution to improve integration of pre and post order activities. Oversee formal handover of Purchase Orders received by the company to the Execution team Skills and Duties Thorough knowledge of the bidding process in the EPC environment. Good knowledge of the Upstream Oil, Gas and Produced Water treatment processes and systems. Fundamental technical understanding of all the company’s products Qualifications & Education Requirements Graduate Degree – Chemical (preferred) or Mechanical Experience Required Proven track record in process design and systems engineering 10 -15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas or related industry |
