In this MEA Internal Controls and Audit Lead position You will communicate and coordinate within the region all the global ICS requirements and ensure that all countries update and maintain MEA control framework in line with the global catalogue. You will Monitor localization conduction and status per unit following the global schedule and also be monitoring assessment conduction and consolidate results at regional level. You will Lead periodic reviews (e.g. monthly/quarterly) to ensure that internal controls / procedures deployed are working effectively and are sustained (“on going audit readiness”). You will support countries on Icon monthly closing by reviewing assessments, checking on evidence, and following up on remediation actions of any gaps identified. You will drive continuous improvement of our control framework. You will support countries on the preparation of internal audits. The objective is to achieve full adherence to DHL group finance and internal audit standards. You will maintain the common audit findings and drive periodical reviews with countries and tower lead to ensure audit readiness for MEA countries. You will do spot checks on adherence to GOM and MOM processes and work closely with the tower leads to ensure that any gap identified is closed following an agreed action plan with countries. You will review with country CFO the RFI from the audit team to ensure that documents are delivered on time. You will coordinate with country CFO on the post audit finding closing plan to ensure that necessary evidence are submitted timely on Highbond portal. You will ensure that countries External audit are completed on time and any gap identified by statutory auditors is followed by an action plan regularly reviewed with the Country CFO for closing before the next audit. You will review the reconciliation between CREST and AFS and ensure that all gaps are explained and documented. You may support regional CFO on any ad hoc tasks regarding group IFRS audit and NAS compliance. You will work with countries & procurement team to regular assess and select best audit companies to drive cost efficiency, quality & consistency.
