About the team The role is part of the Corporate Development & Investor Relations team within the broader finance team that works closely with Careem leadership, and across all of Careem’s verticals and markets. This is a small, close knit team with a high impact mandate to enable the rapid growth of Careem. The role will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Development. What you’ll do Perform research and due diligence on potential investment ideas with recommendations for approval Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive deal decisions Manage the investment process from identification to closure including due diligence Support with post-deal integration and / or portfolio management Responsible for risk monitoring and red flag reporting across investments Provide insights on market activity Responsible for all investor communication materials and documents, including presentations, quarterly and monthly reports, information memos, etc. Support the fundraising process and assist with development of investor roadshows Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, shareholder issues, and anything else that could impact the business What you’ll need Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Master’s preferred 2-4 years of professional experience Worked in high-growth fast-paced firms Sector knowledge in the tech space Willingness and ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders within Careem Ability to engage with senior level executives within as well as outside Careem Ability to understand multiple sectors, businesses and functions Excellent written and verbal communication skills What we’ll provide you In addition to a competitive long-term total compensation with salary and equity, we have a reward philosophy that expands beyond this.
