Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
Answer directly to the CFO
Will be responsible for general ledger (G/L) accounting, financial close, and reporting responsibilities – this includes but is not limited to recording transactions, preparing G/L account reconciliations, filing of tax returns, and all other Ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Forecast cash flows positions, ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet operational requirements
Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
Manage company budget, report on variances from the established budget and the reasons for those variances
Manage and mitigate Financial Risks, seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company

Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement
Engage in cost reduction analysis, participate in target costing activities 
Provide insightful information and expectations to management to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
Primarily Excel/Google-Sheet Modelling of Cruise Business
Experience in Procurement with the Cruise Industry

About you 
Cruise Background for modelling our Residential Cruise Ship Business
Experience in Procurement with the Cruise Industry.
University / College education in a relevant discipline (Finance & Accounting considered to be an asset)
Excel or Sheet Expert
Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate well with all levels.
Familiarity with accounting and spreadsheet applications (e.g., QuickBooks, MS-Excel) is required.
Advanced knowledge of best practices in accounting methods
Reporting to and the ability to present information for stakeholders, investors and the like
Proficiency in integrated financial management software, such as FreshBooks and NetSuite.
Extensive knowledge of accounting standards, fiscal procedures, and applicable tax codes.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Great analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Superb organizational and time-management skills.
