Job Description:
A position has arisen to assist the Regional Financial Controller and Finance Director in delivering a high quality and effective financial reporting and compliance function for MEA. The Finance Manager will support in delivering the Financial Accounting, Reporting and Analysis activities and the Internal Audit and Compliance requirements. The role will be focused on ensuring delivery of clear, accurate and insightful reporting to the Regional Senior Leadership Team and to the Group and Internal Sector team in Canada and the UK respectively. The role will assist in developing robust controls and helping to ensure that monthly closing and financial reporting processes all operate effectively.Responsibilities
Lead the financial accounting team to ensure accurate monthly GL close process, balance sheet reconciliations and group reporting, meeting all deadlines
Lead the consolidation & reporting of monthly management accounts for MEA business, including variance/trend analysis
Lead the implementation and compliance of Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), IFRSs and use of best accounting practices
Assist with the consolidation and reporting of quarterly forecasts and annual budget
Lead coordinator for internal audit and assist with external audit and statutory compliance
Support the Financial Controller and Finance Director on ad-hoc initiatives and analysis
Develop strong working relationships with team members and other key stakeholders
Manage financial accounting team ensuring their career development and coaching
Seek opportunities to learn new skills and aspire to develop within the team.

Technical Competencies
Essential
Fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA or other recognised Western Accounting qualification;
Minimum of 5 years, experience within a construction/engineering consultancy organisation, preferably in the Middle East;
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (knowledge of Data Modelling, PowerPivot and PowerBI tools is an advantage). Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools;
High standard of (numerical) presentation skills;
Excellent communication in English (both written and oral).
Experience of interacting with multiple businesses and finance functions;
Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment;
Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate effectively at all levels. 
Desirable
Some Big 4 experience as a senior associate or above (PwC/EY/KPMG/Deloitte);
Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Hyperion Finance Management (HFM), Smart View and other IT systems and databases.
