We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wholesale Portfolio Management team within Global Banking and Markets, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. In this role, you will: • Support front-line asset origination teams through the CAC and Sub-CAC process to optimise new business proposals using ORC, Omnia, CARM, CV/CME and other systems. • Review LER, GARs and GCRC requests with appropriate recommendation. • Assist in compiling regional portfolio data for sector and company analysis. • Own the MENAT Capital & Liquidity forecasting processes, monitoring and preparing reports as required with focus on portfolio Risk Weighted Asset (RWA) and liquidity constraints. • Support WPM and broader business efforts to improve portfolio data and transparency. • Coordinate with RMs, product managers and other support functions to ensure capital and cost efficiency is incorporated into business decisions. • Establish parameters for the periodic Low-Return client exercise, identifying clients and Client Plans for review with strategies to mitigate as discussed with the Business. • Form part of the WWM Committee. Be responsible for understanding and challenging risk, encouraging a view on trajectory and ensuring a fluid process through WWM. • Periodic review of all names flagged by Radar for MENAT clients. • Take ownership for implementing regulatory and policy change, involving updating policy, communications and training to originating teams. • Assist in compiling regional portfolio data for sector and company analysis and undertake any ad-hoc projects around RWA reductions, portfolio/sector reviews, transition risk etc. • Oversight of logistics around multiple regular committees / forums and associated admin. Assisting in the management and logistics around multiple regular committees/forums – rooms, conference calls, packs, minutes, follow-up etc. • Monitor and analyse portfolio risk and recommend strategy. • Assist with implementing regulatory and policy changes, involving communication and training to origination teams as appropriate. • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with issues raised by regulators. Requirements To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements: • Front line experience in a commercial banking environment is an advantage, with an understanding of core banking products and an aptitude for credit analysis. • Understanding of core banking products preferred including PM tools. • Strong team player with the ability to work with colleagues from across the first and second lines of defence. • Literate and articulate with strong analytical and good verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills, multitasking ability with an eye for detail and logical context. • Work as part of a team, providing timely support to Senior Executives. • Highly motivated and proactive, eager to accept new challenges and having an ability to work under pressure. • Graduation Degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit For further details and application information please visit our careers site, searching under reference number 0000HKLD.
