As our new Accountant, your main priority will be to monitor and report the oil price exposure on physical positions and commercial contracts. Assess suggested hedging activities and strategies and take relevant initiatives to ensure compliance to policies and mandates. Furthermore, you will be involved in assisting financial controlling and it is important that you thrive in an ambitious environment and value close dialogues with your colleagues. You will be strongly involved in various activities across the group, which will give you the opportunity to build a strong network globally. The position reports directly to Head of Finance MEA. Areas of focus Create daily exposure reports Approve internal and external trigger/hedge requests Settle reconciliations and invoicing Create documentation for auditors Update various systems Prepare relevant reporting to management Secure data quality Prepare reconciliation of G/L accounts and maintain balance sheet accounts Handling financial transactions & data Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures Perform controlling and reviewing of financial contracts Your professional skills Relevant economical/financial education Experienced in similar position for 2-3 years, having knowledge of risk management systems and processes is an advantage Experience from the oil and shipping industry is an advantage, not a requirement Experienced user of Microsoft Office.
