THE ROLE This role will report to Finance Manager and will be based in Jebel Ali Free Zone. The accountant would be responsible to participate as a finance stake holder for the business in cross functional teams. Responsibilities also includes establishing and developing relations with the company management and the cross functional teams. This role will cover: • Financial Accounting • Accounts Payable Management • Cash control and petty cash payments • Inter Company transactions and reconciliation • Bank Reconciliation KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Recording of transactions in the system in an accurate and timely manner Establish & maintain supplier accounts and process supplier invoices on a timely basis and processing payments for all accounts due. Periodic reconciliation of vendor accounts and discussions with the Finance Manager on the same. Ensuring all vendor accounts work to the agreed procure to pay cycle. Monthly accruals and prepaid accounting and periodic reconciliation of the same. Reconciliation of all bank accounts. Establish & maintain effective cash controls and handle petty cash payments. Control and follow up for imprest, travel and staff advances. Recording of fixed assets purchases and calculation of depreciation thereon. Assist in the detailing, data collating and analysis for the preparation of monthly MIS, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and annual audits. Collating of data and documents for monthly VAT returns. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree; Intermediate CA/ICWA/CS (preferable) Minimum Experience: 3-4 years in a similar role Job-Specific Skills: Strong Accounting Fundamentals, Knowledge of VAT and related working, Good Working knowledge of ERP (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365), Excellent Advanced Excel skills (Knowledge of Power BI preferred), Good MS Word & PowerPoint skills, Financial Acumen, Eye for Details, Tech Savvy, Analytical Thinking, Manage Deadlines, Methodical Approach, Accuracy, Effective Verbal & Written Communication, Innovation & Creativity, Commercial Awareness, Planning & Organizing, Maintain High Degree of Confidentiality.
