As a Weddings & Social Events Manager, you will maximise revenue opportunities in the areas of weddings, social events and group reservations by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. The Weddings & Social Events Manager will interact frequently with guests with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business. Specifically, a Wedding & Social Events Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards: Responsible for planning and managing all Wedding and Social events Receive and convert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue Seek opportunities to increase sales and conversions within the Team Manage an events schedule to maximise yield Focus on a consistently executed up-selling approach Be aware of trends and propose ideas to build the range and quality of Catering & Events, consistently wowing our guests with creative and innovative ideas Build strong relationships with customers and to fully understand their needs Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events to full satisfaction of client Maintain exceptional levels of guest service Ensure compliance of brand standards Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement Participate in hotel promotional activities What are we looking for? A Weddings & Social Events Manager serving Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts are always working on behalf of our guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow: Strong knowledge of the hospitality industry in Dubai Previous experience in Wedding, Conference & Events with experience in the sales sector of the luxury market Good organizational and administration skills Positive attitude and good communication skills Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service Confident telephone manner High level of IT skills Excellent grooming standards It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: Luxury hospitality experience in a similar role Knowledge of the hotel property management systems Qualification, degree, or certification in a relevant field Proficiency in Arabic would be an advantage What will it be like to work for Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts?
