You as a Talent Management Lead, MEA will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dubai; UAE. You will be implementing the overall talent management strategy along the entire employee lifecycle in order to develop, engage and retain employees. This comprises performance management, talent identification, career development and succession management, while ensuring Diversity and Inclusion (D&I).

Your responsibilities
Ensuring smooth implementation of global processes and policies in area of performance management. Supporting the implementation and design of performance management is in line with organization’s values and business strategy through proximity to the business.
Supporting business with frameworks and enabling sessions for performance management, conduct calibration rounds if necessary. Managing performance frameworks to align individual and team goals with organization objectives and business results.
Owning and driving diversity and inclusion initiatives in the assigned geography and ensure it is a fundamental part of all talent management processes. Ensuring legal compliance of organization processes with local laws and regulations. Promoting diversity and inclusion locally as important part of the companies’ culture as well as Employee Value Proposition and promote organization’s image as an employer of choice and place open to diversity.
Identifying critical workforce requirements e.g., skills, competencies, and performance outcomes necessary to achieve current and future business results. Analyzing and reporting on performance management metrics e.g., alignment between rating and compensation decisions, compliance with goal setting and review processes, etc.
Analyzing an organization’s future workforce needs against internal and external labor markets to identify potential shortfalls and report the findings to the leadership. Conducting and analyzing employee engagement surveys in order to develop programs and implement changes that will increase employee engagement and work satisfaction.
Ensuring organization design, culture change, organization transformation and change management is driven via our leaders in the organization. Assisting leadership in workforce and succession planning by providing analysis of current state and potential threats.
Developing and presenting organizational structures and holistic staffing models based on internal talent bench strength in close collaboration with Talent Acquisition (demand side) and Learning and Development (supply side). Collaborating with talent acquisition on strategic workforce planning and upskilling employees for mid-term vacancies.
Collaborating with the L&D team with inputs to prepare development programs supporting career development progression of employees. Providing career frameworks and guidance on how to develop employees and organizations further.
Training people managers to reinforce the importance of employee development, rewarding high performance, and addressing low performance. Identifying high potentials and in collaboration with L&D team design leadership programs (e.g. for newly promoted people managers).
Foster a global network of talent management specialists collaborating cross country and exchanging expertise as well as driving global TM processes cross business areas and geographies.

Your background
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in the area of human resources, business administration or similar.
Proven experience leading and driving large scale change processes.
Understanding of performance management or succession planning or development programs and methodologies.
Knowledge of business environment and its implications for talent processes. Familiarity with leadership assessment and feedback giving practices.
Proven communication and presentation skills, strong intercultural competence and strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
