Al Rostamani Pegel is a main contractor in the UAE Construction Industry and has to its credit, timely and successful construction of several multipurpose projects including high rise buildings, villas, hotels, hospitals and industrial facilities. Job Purpose Handles and ensures completion of activities pertaining to material /tools/ equipment requisitions, material receipts, issuance and proper storage in accordance with established procedures. Job Responsibilities .Prepares material requisitions as approved by the Project Manager. Coordinates with Purchase/Contracts or approved vendor for delivery to project site as required, provides weekly outstanding report to PM .Coordinates with site staff on material requirements and handles the issuance of materials to site. Completes the proper documentation and reports and updates stock on daily basis .Maintains an accurate inventory records of materials received and issued or consumed. Conducts periodic physical stock taking as required. Notifies Project Manager when stocks are getting low. .Coordinates with Yard on transportation requirements for movement of materials like scaffolding, formwork, etc. Coordinates with Yard on repair and maintenance schedules of equipment allocated to the project. Ensures these are attended to and follow up as needed. Maintains proper records for all hired equipment and keeps track of LPO. Informs the Project Manager on any LPO that is about to expire for the necessary action Coordinates with Yard/HO on waste and sewage removal and ensures proper housekeeping procedures. May be assigned as a Timekeeper in the absence of one. Checks attendance of labour, and completes the required labour report and attendance register. Handles and controls the issuance return of consumables, small tools and other machineries. Completes documentation and maintains proper record of receipts issuance and damage reports. Follows up with concerned department/vendor on deliveries of ordered materials. Notifies the Project Manager in case of delays. Receives all incoming materials/deliveries. 3.1. Checks and ensures that deliveries are in accordance with approved purchase orders, considering both item specifications, quantity and condition. 3.2. Inspects incoming materials for any wear, damage or defects and reports any discrepancies or damages. Notifies the concerned person if any adjustments are required. Documents any damage/discrepancies on the delivery. 3.3. Completes the required documentation (GRN) and consolidates the report on daily basis. Also prepares weekly report on materials received. Maintains continued safety vigilance at the work place. Alerts PM/CM to any evidence of fraud or theft. Stores the materials in its proper place according to prescribed storage system (either in prescribed racks, shelves, floors or site yard) or as recommended by supplier / manufacturer and incompliance with safety/security regulations Teaches, mentors and trains staff under his control Job Requirements Qualification: Degree or Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. Experience 2 to 5 Years’ experience in construction industry Experience in handling inventory for project value 250 million and above. Knowledge & Skills Computer skills Knowledge of construction material ERP system experience in store keeping-preferably in SAP. Knowledge construction procedure nventory Management.
