QC Inspector Introduction to the Job At TechnipFMC, we deliver critical projects of a scale, scope and difficulty that you simply won’t find anywhere else. We are looking for an experienced QC Inspector who can join our multicultural team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Job description Role and responsibilities • Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming equipment from vendors / Customers and outgoing products for shipping. • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications. • Perform stage Quality inspection as required by the job which includes but not limited to: • Dimensional inspection • NDT (MPI, LP, UT) • Hardness checks • Visual Checks • Light Band. • Thread inspection. • Coating inspection. • Performs SAP transactions after completion of QC operations. • Interpret machine shop drawings and understand machining symbols and tolerance limits and compare the same to the actual component. • Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records. • Compile and upload the reports into server. • Record workshop Nonconformance. • Assist or sometimes lead any certification, Customer or Internal Audit. • Visit customer facilities to inspect equipment. • Assist TPI within the facility or at the suppliers facility. • Review MTCs. • Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control. • Train the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence. • Reviewing of Customers’ quality requirements, seek clarifications and exceptions when required to ensure ability to effectively execution after project is awarded. • Manages inspections in Vendor sites and troubleshoot issues faced by the vendor during inspections. • Identify areas of concern and report on quality problems as they arise. Assist in determining root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions. You are meant for this job if • Minimum 6-8 years working experience in Quality Control. (Oil and Gas industry preferred) • Min 2 years of experience on wellhead inspection. • Degree or Diploma in Engineering. • ASNT Level 2 or equivalent. • Welding inspection certification.
