The Candidate As pub Manageryou will join a committed F&B team, driven with the intent of delivering ‘FIVE-star’ guest experiences to an international diaspora in the heart of vibrant Dubai and Zurich. We are looking for a natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities, can focus on, and execute, tasks with a sharp eye for detail. An outgoing, people-friendly personality with an ability to think ‘on your feet’ during changing situations is also essential. You’ll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals. Key Responsibilities Will be responsible for taking the lead in driving an increase in business across all FIVE outlets Set an example by reporting to duty punctually wearing business attire according to FIVE’s dress code and grooming standards, maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times Provide a professional and courteous service at all times and ensure that all employees of the assigned outlet follow the set example Ensure that the place of work and surrounding areas are kept clean and organised at all times Inspire the team to execute the highest level of service standards at all times Understand the concept(s) of the outlet(s) thoroughly and train all employees of the outlet(s) in regards to the concept(s) Set a sterling example in terms of service, products and knowledge to the team, that reflects the concept(s) of the outlet(s) Organise tastings of daily dishes and new menus Be knowledgeable of the existing POS systems Lead the outlet(s) efficiently in cost and expenses, constantly delivering the highest quality of F&B services, as well as driving high top line revenue and profit results Produce reports and analysis of the outlet(s) and present the reports in the monthly performance meeting. Assist in the preparation of the outlet’s budget Monitor operating supplies and equipment and reduce spoilage and wastage successfully Establish a pool of qualified and trained full and part time employees in conjunction with FIVE’s People Services Department Manage daily or weekly meetings with the kitchen teams and foster team work to constantly develop the outlet(s) for greater success Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with team members on preparation, guest profiles, services to be performed and menus served Prepare and review the outlet’s Operations Manual updates annually in accordance with the Assistant Head of Department Handle guest enquiries and complaints in the outlet(s) in a courteous and efficient manner and report to the Head of Department / Assistant Head of Department ensuring that an effective follow-up is performed with the concerned guests Efficient up-selling for all items offered by the department to be assured Conduct monthly inventory of operating supplies and equipment together with the stewarding department Act as Food & Beverage Duty Manager during the absence of the Food & Beverage Head of Department and Assistant Head of Department Requirements What We’re Looking For Hands-on approach and flexibility with a ‘can-do’ work attitude Commitment to delivering exceptional F&B services with a passion Minimum of 3 years’ experience at a senior management level, from a hospitality / restaurant background (UAE experience desirable) Previous experience managing a pub Strong leadership and management skills The ability to build and maintain positive and effective relationships Strong project management, budget and time management skills and an ability to work under pressure and within set deadlines Systemized and profitable mindset Ability to find creative solutions while taking ownership for all duties and tasks assigned Teamwork-oriented Benefits Rewards At Work!
