Job Description:
Aldar Education is currently seeking a Manager – Students Achievement – Charter Schools to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. Due to planned current and future expansion we are looking to add to our Team supporting our British, US and IB curricula network of schools.

Job Purpose
This role is based out of our Headquarters but located in Charter schools and involves supporting our family of schools to develop our curriculum, improve understanding and standards across grade levels, accurately assessing student achievement and progress and analysing data to improve outcomes and support the development of our schools.
This role also requires a strong knowledge and experience of inclusion, Sen and ELL and an understanding of how systems in schools work to improve outcomes for students.

Responsibilities:
Main Duties:
To provide strategic leadership to all charter schools assessment leads to ensure consistent use of data to drive improvement and student attainment, this includes quality assurance of appropriate documentation.
To provide strategic leadership to charter schools to ensure robust assessment procedures are adhered to in line with the charter assessment policy.
To create, develop and maintain data collection sheets for all grades, phases and schools for each subject
To support the Senior Manager of Assessment in implementing a consistent, standardised assessment schedule across all schools.
To be able to drill down on data in all schools by grade, class, group and individual students and produce HQ level district reports.
To oversee the administration of external assessments (such as MAP) and support schools as required in conjunction with the Senior Manager for Assessment.
To provide a series of reports throughout the academic year that provide detailed analyses of school, subject and phase performance across the whole Group.
To be able to support the delivery of high-quality assessment training in conjunction with the Senior Manager for Assessment.
To monitor and track individual school assessment plans
To be confident and up to date with the ever-changing assessment landscape and ensure that guidance to schools is relevant and appropriate.
To collect and feedback on all Adek circulars and changes in assessment.
Promote good practice in use of assessment through for example, participation in assessment meetings, assessment newsletters.
To be an active member of the assessment groups and support the Chairperson of each group as necessary. This includes taking notes and supporting the follow-up of key actions.
To support with adhoc analyses and reporting involving data and information gathered from schools for learning platforms across our schools.
To capture and report on formal examination performance each year
To maintain a central inspection record for all school inspections and monitor in line with SEF & SIP documentation.
To maintain a watching brief on International assessments eg PISA, TIMSS and PIRLS
To engage and be familiar with all reporting, student information systems eg Engage, PowerSchool, e-SIS and be fully engaged in new IT infrastructure developments that will impact on assessment requirements.
To ensure systems are in place to support the tracking and recording of attendance figures for each school. To ensure that Adek policies for attendance are being kept to by schools with regards to letters, record keeping and Adek notifications of absence.
To ensure that reporting expectations are followed, to have an understanding of Adek reporting expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
To be the dedicated ADEK focal point responsible for data analysis including all communication with ADEK around the NWEA MAP data.
To work closely with SLT across all charter schools to ensure consistence approach to assessment, data analysis and appropriate interventions.
To design and deliver appropriate training for staff at all levels to ensure a data literate work force.
To create, develop and maintain data collection sheets for all grades, phases and schools for each subject
To oversee the administration of external assessments (such as Progress Tests and MAP) and support schools as required.
To monitor and track individual school assessment plans, ensure consistency and quality assure alignment with MAP expectations and our chosen curriculum.
To be confident and up to date with the ever-changing assessment landscape and ensure that guidance to schools is relevant and appropriate.
Promote good practice in use of assessment through for example, participation in assessment meetings, assessment newsletters.
To  lead and monitor the charter assessment groups and ensure that assessment policy is adhered to across all charter schools
To provide strategic leadership around data analysis and reporting involving the Learning Platforms that Charter School use.
To capture and report on formal MAP assessments performance each year and any other international assessments required by ADEK To maintain a central inspection record for all ADEK school quality reviews and monitor in line with SEF documentation using  SchoolWorks/Inspection tracker tool.
Other Responsibilities
To attend Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training as required
Work closely with school leaders to support inspection preparation and outcomes related to student achievement
To support the wider education team in meeting group strategic aims.
To support the School Review team with the internal Aldar Education review process as required.
To lead by example and maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times
To participate in the Aldar Education continuous performance review (appraisal) scheme and work towards achieving and or exceeding of targets set – including carrying out the formal appraisal of appropriate staff
To undertake and carry out any other such comparable duties commensurate with the grade of the post, as required by your Line Manager and/or the Directors of Education
Specific Duties:
To maintain a record of data across our group of Charter schools.
To ensure all assessment expectations are met
To support schools to maintain and keep appropriate attendance records
To oversee external assessment processes 

Qualifications
 Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education and/or mathematics related subject area, or Bachelor’s degree with postgraduate qualification in education (eg. PGCE).

Minimum Experience:
At least 2 years data/assessment/teaching in a school or education setting at a middle/senior leadership level.
