Mission/ Core purpose of the Job Identifying opportunities for GlobalConnect (existing business lines and new revenue streams) from market research, competitive analysis and data analytics. Responsible for state-of-the-art business intelligence capabilities, reporting and analysis for extracting key insights from data in order to grow and secure GlobalConnect business and operations. Context (Global influences, environmental / industry demands, organisational mission etc.) Highly demanding work environment Very dynamic industry moving fast towards ICT Capital intensive Co-opetition: competitors are also customers Deal with top-level senior management with very high expectations Able to achieve targets within tight time limits Leading, supporting and supervising employee Teamwork makes the dreamwork Strategic role As very active member of the Strategy & BI Team, he/she is the eyes and ears of the company to detect & recommend opportunities through adequate use of external and internal sources, GlobalConnect Business Intelligence, and market research that he/she carries out for strategic and marketing purposes but also as support of GlobalConnect business lines (for GlobalConnect Group as well as at country level Threat detection with close collaboration with internal stakeholders to formulate actions for mitigation Market Research & Competitive Analysis Lead all GlobalConnect market research & competitive analysis Responsible for the delivery and update of a Strategic Radarscreen that describes all threats & opportunities from a 365° perspective Market research includes NPS and recurring customer satisfaction survey (automated from a BSS platform) and industry analysis / trends watcher (new value pockets) Competitive analysis at several levels: strategic, product, marketing & sales in order to detect weaknesses of competitors and translate them into opportunities for GlobalConnect. Identifying & managing the most valuable information sources within budget Business Intelligence Responsible for developing and overseeing the company’s Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities & architecture (in collaboration with Group BICC & GlobalConnect IT) Ensure quality of a self-service and ongoing improvements of the BI tool taking feedback of users into account Responsible for data analytics: descriptive, diagnostic, predictive & prescriptive analytics Responsible for BI reporting (respect of deadlines, quality of the reports) Manage the BI budget in the most adequate manner Manage data sources (availability, quality and enrichment) Integrate BI capabilities in the GlobalConnect digital landscape Strategic Programs Follow the evolution of strategic programs in close collaborations with owner Track potential risks/deviation from approved strategies and how to mitigate Responsible for the delivery of monthly dashboards with status, KPIs, achievements…also as monthly reporting to Group Exco Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies) Education: Minimum 4 Year Bachelor Degree in equivalent specialization MSc, MBA is a plus. English, plus additional international language. Experience: Proven track record of 5+ years in Business Intelligence, Market/Strategic Research; with at least 3 years in Telecom industry (preferably in a wholesale function) Worked across diverse cultures and geographies Competencies: Very strong analytical skills, ability to connect the dots and to extract valuable insights from various sources Solid knowledge & experience of Power BI, analytical techniques Passionate on the telecom/IT sector Very curious Eager to learn Problem solver Team player with the ability to create value as individual as well as Team Member Walk-the-talks Stress resilient Business acumen Other: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
