JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager Position directs and works with HR associates and the shared service center to carry out the daily HR activities of the Human Resources Office including payroll, HR administration, performance management, recruitment and onboarding support.  Focuses on delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of associates and enable business success; ensures compliance with legislation and Marriott International operating procedures. This role will also support with EMEA data analytics and reporting for above property.
The scope of HR support includes all associates based in the Europe, Middle East & Africa Continent Office across other EMEA locations.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
HR Shared Service Center:
Supports the HR leadership with creating an EMEA HR service center
Supports with the streamlining and implementation of new policies and procedures to streamline and bring the continent/markets together.
Works with HR partners, COE’s and counterparts to create synergies and harmonize local processes where possible.
Takes initiative to identify areas where processes can be harmonized and streamlined
Automate existing processes
Promote and evolve the associate self service system and capabilities.

HR Systems, Payroll Administration, Compensation & Benefits:
Supports the transition to mHub for above property.
Supports associates and departments with mHub training as required
Acts as the champion and oversees and manage HR applications & systems
Manages and oversees HR payroll reporting
Partners with IT, finance and the HR team to automize HR processes.
Ensures new hires and eligible associates enroll in benefit plans and communicates changes to the benefit plans in a timely manner; coordinates the annual enrolment process (ie. Medical plans, retirement plans etc..)
Manages associate benefit eligibility review process and changes associates status as necessary; communicates change in status to affected associates.
Oversee and partner with finance partners on the payroll administration process
Processes and oversees the leavers process including the calculation of final settlements etc…
Partner with Zurich and finance partners on the DIFC Workplace Savings Plans (“DEWS”)
Curate Training material to support associates & managers with HR systems & applications
Collaborates closely with International Compensation & Benefits for benefit administration.
Support the annual merit reviews and process

HR Analytics & Reporting:
Supports HR analytics and reporting across EMEA
Collaborates closely with EMEA HR counterparts including HR partners and COE’s
Analyzes key data, trends to support the business
Presents data to support the HR leadership and continues to evolve the disciplines reporting capabilities
Collaborates with HR leadership and takes initiative to ensure data analytics and reporting is relevant and supporting the business.

Administration:
Ensures compliance with procedure for accessing, reviewing, and auditing associate e files and ensures compliance with the Data Protection Act.
Ensures overall compliance with company and local legislation.
Ensures proper documentation of all progressive disciplinary action is kept in associate file. Ensures performance evaluations and merit increase paperwork are maintained in associate files. Ensures all regulatory information is posted as required by legislation.
Ensures a relevant filing process is in places and that associate records are filed (both hard and soft copies) as per Marriott’s HR Review and compliance requirements.

Associate Relations:
Supports associate recognition programs and initiatives including the quarter century club, service anniversaries etc..
Supports the annual engagement survey process
Supports associate relation activities and takecare initiatives
Supports performance management processes in line with Marriott practices and policiesParticipates in the associate performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed.
Participates in associate progressive discipline procedures. Ensures office policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard, Regional and Local Operating Procedures.

Other:
Supports the Director of HR Services as and when required. Duties may include application of the disciplinary process, investigatory meetings, training of new standard processes and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet the business needs
