Leading a small team of (we are looking to add to the direct management and the role will oversee local HR Consultants in time too) talented consultants you will be working closely with the Europe & MENAT Regional Head of HR and other HR Heads as you design pragmatic HR solutions to solve business problems and help frame complex HR, business and regulatory challenges that will support HSBC’s MENAT growth. You will work with considerable autonomy and be required to transform and innovate around some of the fascinating opportunities and challenges the region presents. We have a compelling proposition for a highly motivated and collaborative HR leader who wants to build a lasting legacy.
You’ll work with a great team, an eclectic mix of people from all over the world committed to HSBC’s growth. The role will test all of your business partnering and consultancy acumen as we seek quick wins against some tough and established competition, new to market challenger banks, increasingly sophisticated regulation and rapid digitisation. You’ll be influencing our brightest and best as we capitalize on the opportunity to import best practices HR, drive increasing levels of operational excellence and discipline as the region, bank and HR community embrace significant change in a rapidly modernising region that has become far more than just potential. More specifically the 3 main challenges are:

Build constructive relationships with the senior leadership within the regional and country HR and Business teams, whilst providing constructive challenge to existing practices/proposed initiatives and managing a balance between organizational, employee and customer need and the HR teams’ ability to deliver change.
Consistently manage a balance between the business change initiatives and HR driven initiatives intended to grow engagement with a backdrop of industry pressures, changes in the economy and ongoing revenue and cost challenges.

You will have had prior success in driving large scale transformation around business results, engagement, culture, org design with a razor sharp focus on diversity and inclusion.
Experience of the region is not necessary but engagement in and exposure to strategic nationalisation programs would be advantageous.
