Job Purpose: Lead the Public Relations team (PRO) to ensure the efficient completion of all work visa requirements and ensure compliance with all government employment regulations in the Gulf region. Including our interactions with third parties such as distributors. Key Responsibilities This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: Monitoring the renewal of GSK’s five trade licenses, Chamber of Commerce certificates of registration, Ministry of Economy Certificate, Immigration and Labor establishment cards etc… Oversee the processing of all types of visas, including employment, residence, Travel, mission visas for employees and their dependents. Support HR team regarding new joiner’s process, coordinate and follow up to ensure providing the proper required documentations and advise them about the process and timeframes. Maintains an updated in-depth understanding of government laws, keeping abreast of the changes and advising the investors, whenever appropriate, on the best and right government practices. Ensure on-going compliance with all specific government regulations relevant to government relations transactions /activities. Monitor and analyze UAE legislations and regulations which may impact the Company’s operations and submit regular reports with recommendations to CGA MA Director Draft proposals and legislation that accurately reflect the interests of GSK such as power of attorney (POA). Ensure the database of all passports, visas, labor contract and EID cards are archived by scanning all documents and directly updating the database when details change. Draft all kind of Arabic letters required for Government authorities’ transaction. Manage all PR expenses and ensure submission of detailed reports related PR team expenses to finance department regularly. Oversee to ensure government authority charges paid in timely to avoid any penalty fines. Update GPS with WPS required information such (Name correction, personal number, sponsorship) Ensure all requests related to related to Immigration, legalization, traveling are done as per GSKs policies. Partner with various market level support teams (i.e., Finance, HR, IT) to ensure effective and efficient operational processes that align with company objectives and strategies and high-quality customer service and support. Plans the processes of the interaction with the government entities to ensure the timely and accurate execution of all government relations transactions/activities. Review systems, procedures, and practices to identify shortcomings and recommend best practice solutions to increase efficiency and performance. Delegating work to staff and managing their workload and output. Scope: GSK Gulf Accountability: Build and maintain a strong relationship with the local distributors and agents in order to support the business. Fully responsible for company’s registration in UAE Authorities. Establish, maintain and/or co-ordinate effective contacts with legal and governmental bodies. Ensure that all employees joining the organization comply with Government regulations and employment laws. Develop and implement a communication program to keep the employees informed on governmental issues affecting GSK at all levels. Contribute to GSK external public relationship and Governmental related affairs. Develop, monitor and implement divisional policies and procedures related to government relations function. Research, monitor, analyze, and evaluate legislation and regulation issues that may have an impact on GSK to determine needs for action and recommend action to be taken. Providing regularly report and information to the HR team to update GPS and payroll system. Managing PR team. Participate in conferring and resolving outstanding issues between the Company and any UAE Government agency. Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Role holder must be UAE National Minimum 5 years of experience in government relations. Excellent English & Arabic communication skills. Bachelor’s degree Holder Expert knowledge of UAE/ Dubai Governmental procedures, correspondence and formalities. Conversant with Microsoft Office applications. Able to manage multiple tasks. Detail orientated / accurate Ability to work in a dynamic environment. Previous experience required in managing PRO team or office administration responsibilities. |
