About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for Executive Housekeeper to join the Housekeeping department in Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Ensuring measurable quality objectives are established and actively participate in the review of these objectives.
Actively promote an awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
Ensure that responsibilities and authorities are defined and communicated within the organization.
Determine the necessary competence for colleagues and provide training or other actions to satisfy these needs.
Ensure that colleagues are aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the department objectives.
Conduct regular housekeeping meetings to keep colleagues informed of policies and procedure, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.
Assists in the building of an efficient team of housekeeping colleagues by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety, training and development.
Supervise the department’s orientation programme for new colleagues to make sure that they understand the policy and procedures of the hotel.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Degree in Hotel Management.
Fundamental experience in a housekeeping 5 star hotels.
Minimum 2 years experience within Head/Asst. housekeeping position.
Experience with hotel refurbishment/opening.
Must have overall knowledge in florist design, laundry, interior, garments/fabrics.
Good knowledge in all aspects of chemicals and machineries used within housekeeping.
