Role Overview
Performs accounting functions such as budget analysis, financial accounting, or cost accounting and possesses an understanding of general accounting methods, principles and a broad understanding of the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
Intercompany Accounting & Reporting:
Cross charge of Payroll and other expenses to Intercompany Affiliates
Consolidating and validating of Intercompany balances to the Trial Balance for IC-17 submission.
Monthly compilation of Intercompany payments through on-line netting system (CHAINS).
Intercompany account analysis and reconciliation.
Treasury – Cash & Bank
Monitor entries posted to the bank account i.e. receipts and payments
Key responsibility for reconciling and recording variances of Payroll, USD & AED bank accounts.
Dissemination of variances identified of unrecorded AR receipts to AR controller.
Handling bank related functions, update of signatories, queries, etc.
Key responsibility to Record payables for all Wire Transfers and Intercompany Netting payments.
Financial Reporting
Responsible for compiling and reporting Intercompany balances.
Prepare & upload Bravo submission for approval.
Prepare and upload PL50.submission
Prepare Yearly LR (TAX) submissions for review and approval
Prepare and upload monthly TM1 submissions.
Month End Close (Balance Sheet & P&L)
Preparing and uploading month end journals & Accruals
Detailed analysis and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
Ensure squaring up of sub-ledger to general ledger account balances i.e. AP, employee & Intercompany.
Update Lease information in KLT and accounting of Lease as per new guidelines.
Concur
Active management of Concur (Expense Reporting System).
Working closely with J&J Corporate for efficient & timely response on Concur & American Express/Citibank cards.
Reconciling Concur payments with Corporate Statements.
Payroll
Timely processing of Payroll & employee related entries received from Payroll COE.
Reconciliation of Payroll/employee related balances with statement received from Payroll COE.
Accounts Payables
Ensure timely booking of Payables/Accruals.
Dissemination of Employee Account Statements for balance confirmation on quarterly basis.
Reconciling Employee & other payable accounts.
SOX: Sarbanes-Oxley Project
To ensure compliance with SOX, regular review, recommendation and improvements are implemented to current processes, policies, and procedures.
Auditing
Actively involve in Audit in providing supporting documents, schedules to ensure timely closure of Audit
SAP & Applications
Creating/maintaining Supplier, Employee & Inter-company master files.
Interface with IT personnel concerning timing, problem-solving and special reports.
Develop and recommend revisions to accounting systems and accounting procedures in conformance with accepted accounting principles
Record Management
Maintain various business licenses, permits and compile any governmental/Bank requests.
Take regular feedbacks on the archiving and storing of active and key financial documents.
Active participation in the Information Life-cycle & Records Management Project.
Documenting and retaining all financial transactions.

Qualifications
Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree
2-3 years, experience of working within the Medical Device industry would be highly advantageous.
Language: Fluent in English
