Aftersales Sales Engineer – Spare Parts & Aftermarket Products | Volvo Trucks & Buses | FAMCO | Ras Al Khiamah
About the Position:
We currently looking to recruit an experienced Aftermarket Sales Engineer – Spare Parts & Aftermarket Products for Volvo Trucks & Buses. Reporting to the Aftermarket Manager, you will sell all aftermarket products represented by the Volvo Truck & Bus Division. The position will spend 80% of the time in the field and requires daily contacts with customers.
This role will be permanently based in Ras Al Khaimah area and supports all northern Emirates.
Specifically, your key responsibilities are as follows:
Direct- Sales of spare parts, workshop services and other Aftermarket products.
Maximises participation rate (field coverage) through direct customer contacts
Explores and converts new business opportunities that result in increased revenue and profit for the Division
Maintain & grow a customer database for the assigned territory indicating the parts and service potential available and potential lost. This GAP analysis constitutes the basis of customer exploration
Ensures that accurate information on competitors (parallel parts importers, and infiltration from other distributors) is presented to the Aftermarket Sales Manager thereby supporting the development of strategies that are aimed at increasing the parts and service retention
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications, knowledge and skills:
Either a Diploma / BSc in Mechanical Engineering or excellent experience in Aftermarket of commercial vehicles industry
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
3-4 years in the field of Aftermarket / spare parts heavy truck industry. Preference will be for candidates with experience of the Volvo Truck & Bus products
Awareness of OEM, genuine parts, Exchange parts Concept, parts retention methodology, heavy equipment dynamics
Good user knowledge of MS Office applications
